A Workforce Development pathway designed for young Americans to develop the skills and experience that lead to meaningful careers in Conservation, Earth Science and Construction based fields of industry.

Our mission is to create an avenue for the advancement of American youth into career pathways by providing unique educational opportunities through workforce development, paid internships, and educational awards.

G.E.M. Environmental NFP

GEM Environmental, or "GEM" as we say, is a 501(c) 3 scientific charity headquartered in Prescott, Arizona, that works with government agencies to conserve public lands while connecting American Youth to integrated and collaborative educational programming through Job Training and Workforce Development. We are supported by our generous donors and federal, state, local municipalities, and community partnerships.
VISION: Create a community of learners enriched and engaged through STEM education.

MISSION: To create career pathways for American Youth into conservation, environmental, construction, and other high-demand careers by providing unique educational opportunities through Workforce Development, Paid Internships, and Educational Awards.

YOUTH CONSERVATION CORPS: YCC Programs are Federal and State employment programs designed for young people (typically ages 16–30) that offer paid, hands-on work experience in conservation projects on national parks, forests, and other public lands.

CONSERVATION: GEM Corps works with government agencies, municipalities, and community partners to provide data collection services and site monitoring for scientific study areas to ensure environmental, cultural, and wildlife preservation across our national system of public lands.

COLLABORATION: Our organization welcomes partnerships with community institutions and schools that transcend academic disciplines and the boundary between academics and industry when providing career experience to the individuals we seek to benefit.

ACCESSIBILITY: We believe experience within the STEM and conservation fields should be made broadly accessible to people from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or socioeconomic status. Our programs are not strictly limited to our federal or state qualifications for AmeriCorps or YCC participation and we offer reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
"Science is for Everyone!"
"We need to create new avenues for students who have previously fallen between the cracks, unnoticed by the academic
establishment. Science careers should be available to anyone willing to put in the effort, Science is for everyone!"
